Strengthened leadership follows separation as a standalone company
Nobian, a European leader in the production of essential chemicals, announced today that it has appointed Michael Koenig as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and member of the Nobian Board of Directors, effective September 1, 2021. The appointment follows Nobian’s successful launch as a standalone company, following the completion of its spinout from Nouryon, announced on July 2.
“We are extremely pleased to welcome Michael to Nobian as it begins its journey as a standalone company,” said Charlie Shaver, Chairman of Nobian. “Michael is a talented leader with a proven track record of developing diverse and high-performing teams. He brings more than 30 years of experience in the global chemical industry and we are confident that he will help Nobian deliver on its ambitious growth strategy.”
“I am thrilled to be joining Nobian, a company with a strong history and track record that serves a pivotal role in the creation of innovative and sustainable products that consumers and businesses use every day,” said Michael Koenig. “Nobian’s dedication to its customers and commitment to sustainability will be key to its future growth, and I look forward to helping the company realize its full potential as an industry leader.”
Mr. Koenig will be supported in his new role by Knut Schwalenberg, who will continue to serve as Nobian’s President.
