Steve Merwin is a Managing Director for Toft Group, based in the San Francisco office. An accomplished search consultant within the healthcare and life sciences arena, Steve has consistently placed executives from manager to C-level across all functional areas, including commercial operations, R&D, clinical, regulatory, and finance.
Previous Experience
Prior to Toft Group, Steve led executive searches with Sanford Rose Associates – San Francisco, building a strong reputation among clients and candidates in biotech and healthcare. Working with start-ups and Fortune 500 companies alike, Steve utilizes a thorough and hands-on approach to bring key executives into crucial leadership positions. Steve is the recipient of many industry honors, including Sanford Rose’s Recruiter of the Year.
Steve began his career in the management program at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, and also worked in the banking industry.
Education
He holds a B.A. in History from California State University, Chico, and holds the Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) designation.
