Sharon Smart is a consultant with Bravanti. Sharon leverages her prior experience as an HR Executive in her role as coach, consultant, and trainer. She instills a sense of drive, determination and purpose in her clients and helps them achieve notable results.
Sharon had a long career with Wachovia Corporation (now Wells Fargo), where she was HR's Chief Operating Officer and HR Shared Services Director. As an accomplished and inspiring HR Executive, Sharon was known for her passion in engaging teams toward a common vision while building a performance based and inclusive culture.
Sharon was accountable for managing eleven "centers of expertise" including Compensation, Benefits, Recruiting, HR Service Center/Payroll, Enterprise Learning, HR Outsourcing, Employee Relations & Compliance, Workforce Policy, Metrics & Analytics, Program Management and HR Communications. Sharon was a catalyst for significant HR re-engineering, pioneering alternative processes and delivery models. She championed and guided large-scale HR transformation projects and introduced a multitude of new technology platforms, serving as the Executive Sponsor and program leader for a host of strategic initiatives. She and her teams were the drivers behind HR M&A integration, ensuring the successful blending and engagement of all acquired companies. Under Sharon's leadership, Wachovia's Corporate HR services achieved significant cost savings, improved productivity, introduced robust self-service platforms, and earned industry best practices recognition.
Sharon earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is also a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program, Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Sharon is also a certified Executive Coach.
