Professional Profile
Russell Wooten joined ZRG’s Interim Solutions Practice as a Managing Director in 2023. He has experience supplying project and consulting solutions to Fintech and financial services Fortune 500 companies, both public and private. Russell has worked with clients across multiple additional sectors, including information technology, healthcare, consumer, communication, and energy. He is adept at problem-solving and utilizes an empathetic approach to help clients turn their most challenging situations into success stories.
Previous Experience
Russell has spent the majority of his career in Charlotte, North Carolina, serving a global, project-based professional services firm. As Director of Client Development, he helped to grow the regional market to $20M in annual revenue by supporting operations, recruiting, and sales activities. In addition, Russell previously worked with a niche professional services firm as Director of Business Development and most recently with Eliassen Group as Principal, Client Services.
Earlier, Russell worked with DeWolff, Boberg & Associates as a management consultant, supporting business analysis and target operating model development and implementation. In this role, he partnered with businesses to drive increased percentages in operational and financial improvements through efficient front-line management execution. His clients included Jos. A. Bank, Centro Inc., Men’s Warehouse, KDC, and Whitsons Culinary.

Education
Russell holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Marketing and a Master of Business Administration degree from Wheeling Jesuit University (known today as Wheeling University).
Hobbies and Interests
Russell’s true calling in life is his faith. He is also devoted to his wife, Chelsea, and three children, Raelynn, Sayge, and Stone. He enjoys watching the NBA and NFL – “How ‘bout them Cowboys”! In his free time, you might find Russell golfing, reading, or listening to the latest episode of the Stuff You Should Know podcast.
