Peter Goddard
Managing Director
Peter Goddard joined ZRG as Managing Director of the Financial Officers Practice in 2024. Peter specializes in appointing Chief Financial Officer’s and their direct reports; as well as Appointed Actuary appointments and senior finance executive searches across the region. He has successfully led assignments for listed corporations across the ASX and other exchanges, private equity, and venture capital firms, international entities, and large private firms. He also partners with respected non-profit organizations, government, and educational agencies and departments.
With extensive experience in local and international search across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific region, Peter is a well-respected senior name in APAC search. He is known for his deep knowledge and insightful approach, delivering strong outcomes for clients on every assignment. He is known to be honest, open, and direct with all parties and will return every call.
With his deep industry knowledge and experience, Peter is also much sought after by leading organizations to counsel their leadership teams as they seek to attract top talent and accelerate their performance. Peter works closely with clients, finding diverse and rewarding senior talent solutions that successfully match experience, skill level, cultural fit, and a candidate’s individual aspirations. His experience and understanding of the current market allow him to also identify the crucial soft skills required of the new generation of senior finance leaders.

He spent the early part of his career in well-regarded global firms in his native UK, leading large teams delivering tailored talent solutions to clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Since moving to Australia in 2000, Peter has leveraged this experience in the Australasian and broader Asia Pacific markets, working in an executive search context.
Peter genuinely cares about the people he works with, both from a customer, colleague, and candidate perspective. He also drives thought leadership across widespread subjects such as Diversity, a variety of Leadership issues and the Aging Workforce. He is open, honest, and direct with all his contacts and will only take on searches where he or his team have specific expertise.
Peter earned his BSc Honors in Marine Biology at the University of Wales.
In his free time, Peter enjoys bodysurfing, surfing, rugby, and the NFL along with smoking meat and enjoying a nice bottle of red wine with friends.
