Patrick Gray is a seasoned executive with a diverse background spanning the military, investment, intelligence, and technology sectors. Currently serving as a Managing Partner at ZRG Partners, Patrick leads the Global Aerospace, Defense & Government Services practice. His unique career journey, marked by 20 years of executive search experience, showcases his expertise in guiding clients through leadership transitions.
After serving as a U.S. Army Intelligence Officer in assignments across the globe, Patrick transitioned to the business world. He co-founded and managed an investment company, provided consultancy services to an intelligence agency, and contributed to corporate development in the technology sector.
Patrick's executive search career began at Korn Ferry, where he started as an Associate and eventually rose to the position of Client Partner. He subsequently managed the Aerospace, Defense & Government Services practices at Heidrick & Struggles and two boutique firms. His extensive network and rich experience enable him to support Fortune 1000 companies and leading Private Equity firms through leadership changes at both Board and C-suite levels.
Mr. Gray’s dedication and excellence in executive recruiting have earned him recognition. He was selected as a top Government Contractor retained executive recruiter in 2014, 2016, and 2020.
Patrick holds a bachelor's degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point, reflecting his commitment to service. He furthered his education with an MBA in finance from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
He actively engages with professional communities, holding memberships in the Association of the United States Army, the International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading, and the Wings Club.
