Nick Irving
Managing Director
Nick Irving is a Managing Director for the Industrial Practice at ZRG Partners. He focuses on the global aviation sector as well as retail, consumer, and financial services. Nick has successfully executed high-profile searches within these markets, establishing a reputation as a trusted advisor throughout his 20-year career in executive search. Although he principally specialises in the recruitment of C-suite executives, he also delivers senior technical hires within aviation such as leadership roles in flight operations, safety, or engineering.
Prior to joining ZRG in 2024, Nick held the role of Managing Director at a boutique executive search firm for over a decade. During this tenure, he played a pivotal role in developing the firm’s capabilities in aviation, representing international airlines, airports, and other entities in the aviation community. Through this experience, he developed a substantial international network of leaders in the aviation sector. He continues to work with these today.
Beyond aviation, Nick actively engages with clients in the retail, consumer, and financial services sectors. He primarily supports these businesses by recruiting senior customer-facing leaders in operations, multichannel, and commercial departments. Before transitioning to executive search, Nick held various roles in HR, executive hiring, and operations for one of the world’s largest retailers.
Nick holds a BSc in Geography from the University of Liverpool.
Outside of work, Nick plays sports such as golf, cricket, and football. He also enjoys cooking, traveling, and walking
