Melissa Ortiz is a Managing Director at Sucherman, a leading media and entertainment advisory firm and a division of ZRG Partners. Melissa is charged with building the company’s consulting and recruitment business in Latin America and the Iberia region, while helping to expand the company’s client-service capabilities around the world. Melissa’s knowledge and understanding of the entertainment and media landscape, combined with her global network and business acumen, make her an integral part of the company’s revenue expansion strategy.
Melissa has worked with Fortune 500 companies in the U.S., Latin America and Europe, most recently as the Founder and CEO of boutique talent advisory firm, Sapphire Recruiters. Having spent her early career in the banking industry, she has lived and worked around the world including New York, Chicago, Miami, Rome and London. In her nearly 20 years of executive search, Melissa has found her specialties in Entertainment and Media, Strategy and Transformation, and DE&I executive search.
Fluent in Spanish and Italian, Ortiz earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Pace University and an International MBA from the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina.
In her free time, Melissa enjoys the great outdoors. You’ll often find her on bike trails, kayaking, or paddle boarding. Further, Melissa is passionate about travel, art, and theater, and she enjoys dinner parties with family and friends as well.
