Kevin Anderson, a Managing Director in ZRG’s Dallas office, is a member of the Global Technology Practice. His focus is in the communications, software, and hardware industries within private equity portfolio companies. Kevin specializes in board-driven executive searches, including Board Directors, CEOs, CFOs, and other C-suite executives, as well as private equity investment professionals and operating partners. While his search experience spans a range of technology sectors, Kevin’s core expertise is in communications, hardware, and software.
Kevin has over 25 years of experience in senior-level executive search. Prior to joining Odgers Berndtson, Kevin co-led the IoT (Internet of Things) Specialty Practice at Korn Ferry and Heidrick & Struggles, working with clients seeking to capitalize on the emerging market at the convergence of this sector. He was a member of the International Technology Practice with a focus on the software and communications industries and the CIO function within all major industries.
Kevin leads board and C-level work in digital, communications, data, and innovation search projects spanning Chief Technology/Product Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, and Chief Marketing Officer and critical digital roles ranging from strategy, marketing, and operations to product/platform development, user experience, design, and analytics. He has also worked with cutting-edge 5G infrastructure companies which are bringing to the marketplace new services and products to monetize this next-level platform.
With that said, a majority of Kevin’s work falls at the intersection of private equity and technology, filling key roles such as CFO, CTO, and CRO for portfolio companies with a tech-enabled focus. Recently, his focus has been Tech Enabled Services, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics/Monitoring Services, and Vertical SaaS Solutions. Additionally, he leads executive leadership transformations as traditional enterprises implement digital solutions.
Kevin received a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University.
While he has retired as his sons’ pee wee football coach, Kevin loves watching them play football at the highest level in high school and in Division I. His oldest son plays center for the University of Oklahoma. However, Kevin remains balanced by his daughters and their exploits.
Even though time is at a premium, he enjoys hunting and fishing as his favorite pastimes, along with spending time in the gym.
