Justin's thoughtful leadership and expertise in human capital earned him recognition when he was named in Crain’s Magazine as one of 2020’s ‘Notable Leaders’. He has spoken at leading conferences including, LinkedIn’s “Talent Connect” and MIT’s “Sloan Sports Analytics”. His work has been featured in Harvard Business Review, and he has been a guest lecturer at Harvard Business School and Princeton University.
Prior to joining ZRG, Justin served as the CHRO at a Warburg Pincus backed company, as well as in other internal HR and Talent roles at Citadel, and Bridgewater Associates. He designed and led Citadel’s global Datathon program, a hiring approach that focuses on ‘talent auditions’ as opposed to interviews. At Datathon, professionals in the fields of math, statistics, technology, and engineering compete by analyzing data to solve business and social problems. Always applying a fresh lens to any problem, Justin learned about strategy and problem-solving at Bain & Co., where he served as a frontline consultant.
While in strategy consulting, Justin focused on human capital, corporate restructuring, post-merger integration, and private equity diligence. His career in talent started when he began recruiting MBAs to join the firm. Prior to Harvard and Bain, Justin worked in frontline roles at top financial institutions including, HSBC and Moody’s, where he gained foundational training in finance, markets, and credit.
Justin has experience leading board engagements, driving post-merger integration, designing compensation programs, and leading growth hiring across role cohorts at scale. He is passionate about human capital innovation, data-driven solutions, and achieving meaningful recruiting outcomes for clients across all industry verticals.
Justin Pinchback earned his Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Geneseo before pursuing his MBA at Harvard Business School.
Justin lives in Chicago, IL, with his wife and two children, where he spends most of his spare time traveling with family, collecting vintage basketball cards, coaching soccer, and volunteering as the ‘Chief Talent Scout’ for Chicago KICS United, a growing soccer club on Chicago’s south side.
