John Harmeling serves as the Chief Marketing Officer at ZRG, where he leads the firm’s go-to-market strategy and brand platform across business units, industry sectors, and practices globally.
He previously led marketing, revenue, and strategy functions at Grant Thornton, Aflac, Experian, and CEO Coaching International, where his teams helped drive growth through a combination of brand transformation, demand generation, and strategic positioning. He also led digital marketing at Bank of America and oversaw corporate brand and marketing for AIG across the United States, Asia, Europe, and the UK/Ireland, holding regional and global responsibilities.
John lives in Charlotte, NC, USA with his wife Jennifer and their three children, and is actively involved in his community, serving on the Board of Opera Carolina and the Board of Visitors at Duke Divinity School.
John holds a BA from Duke University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
