Beware of recruitment scams targeting job seekers

We have been made aware that scammers are posing as ZRG representatives to advertise false job opportunities, often with the intent to steal personal information or money from job seekers.

What you need to know:

Employment scammers may impersonate legitimate recruiters, employers, or recruitment firms, using email, text messages, messaging apps (including, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, etc.), or fake social media accounts to contact you. They may advertise roles that do not exist, claim to represent ZRG, or use our name and branding without authorization.

ZRG’s official process:

  • All official ZRG email communications will come from an address ending in [@zrgpartners.com].
  • We will never request payment at any stage of the hiring process.
  • We do not issue job offers or ask candidates for personal information via WhatsApp, direct message, or other informal channels.
  • Interviews and legitimate recruitment communications are always arranged through official ZRG representatives using verified contact information.
  • We will never ask for sensitive information (such as banking details, government ID numbers, or passport scans) before a formal offer is extended and confirmed.

Common signs of a recruitment scam:

  • Too good to be true offers — high pay for little work, no experience required, or immediate hiring without interviews.
  • Unprofessional communication — messages from non-official email addresses, poor grammar, or branding that doesn’t match ZRG’s official materials.
  • Upfront payment requests — legitimate employers will never ask you to pay for background checks, training, or equipment.
  • Requests for excessive personal information early in the process, especially via unsecured forms or links.
  • Rushed hiring processes that skip standard interviews or reference checks.
  • Sales offers — we will never ask candidates to buy items such as branded merchandise, phones, or laptops.

How to protect yourself:

  1. Verify the legitimacy of any recruiter claiming to be from ZRG by checking our official careers page: [insert ZRG careers page URL].
  2. Contact us directly using the information on our website rather than the contact details provided in a suspicious message.
  3. Do not send money, banking details, or personal documents until you have confirmed you are communicating with a verified ZRG representative.
  4. Trust your instincts — if something feels suspicious, it’s worth double-checking.

Reporting a suspected scam:

If you believe you’ve been contacted by someone impersonating a ZRG representative, please report it to us immediately at infosec@zrgpartners.com. We also recommend reporting the incident to your local law enforcement agency.

Together, we can help protect candidates from fraudulent recruitment activity.
