Elaine Leff is a Managing Director in ZRG’s Interim Solutions & Project Consulting practice. She is an experienced strategic advisor and human capital expert, delivering interim C-Suite and other executive talent, and independent consulting solutions in all functional areas to solve client business problems. She brings over a 25-year career spanning strategy consulting, value creation, and talent acquisition with a focus on the private equity, technology, business services, and healthcare sectors.

Before joining ZRG, Elaine was a Senior Managing Director at Heidrick & Struggles’ On-Demand Talent business, where she played a key role in scaling the firm’s independent talent solutions. She was an early employee at Business Talent Group (BTG) and led major client relationships across Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and private equity firms. Elaine spearheaded BTG’s Private Equity practice, making it the fastest-growing segment in company history, and was instrumental in integrating BTG’s offerings with Heidrick & Struggles before their 2021 acquisition.

Earlier in her career, Elaine held consulting, strategic planning, and business development roles at The Walt Disney Company, Electronic Data Systems, Mercer Consulting, KPMG, and L.E.K. Consulting. At L.E.K., she advised private equity clients on commercial due diligence, portfolio company growth, and exit strategies while also overseeing HR functions for the firm's West Coast offices.

Elaine’s areas of expertise include interim C-suite and other senior level placements, as well as consulting talent placements for strategy, operations, and transformation projects with a focus on private equity, technology, business services, and healthcare.

Elaine holds a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative Economics from University of California, San Diego and an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

Elaine lives in the San Francisco Bay Area and enjoys hiking, tennis, yoga, and exploring new travel destinations and cultures with her family. She also serves as a Board Member at Bay Area Cancer Connections.
