Don Hasseltine is a Managing Director with ZRG Aspen Leadership Group, bringing 30 years of experience in advancement for higher education. Before joining ZRG, Don held senior leadership roles across five institutions, most recently serving as Vice President for Development at Brown University.

Don partners with mission-driven organizations to strengthen advancement functions, providing deep expertise in philanthropy, fundraising, and leadership. He has led major campaign strategy and execution, including helping to launch Brown’s $3 billion campaign, and has guided organizations through strategic planning and organizational development. Don also leads executive search engagements, placing and advising presidents, CEOs, chief development officers, and senior advancement leaders. His clients span leading universities, independent schools, and national nonprofits. An active thought leader, Don has contributed extensively to CASE as a judge, conference leader, and published author, and shares ongoing insights through his “Coach’s Corner” series.

Don holds degrees from New England College, the University of Maryland, and the University of Virginia.
