Darren Mooney joined ZRG as Managing Director in 2022, bringing to the firm 10-plus years of experience working across various industries.
Previous Experience
Prior to ZRG, Darren served as an Executive Senior Partner at Talentfoot Executive Search, a boutique agency focused on digital marketing, sales, and technology. In this role, Darren built the Media & Analytics Practice, led the firm in billings in 2020 and 2021, and was instrumental in scaling the firm’s revenue by 400% over three years. Prior to Talentfoot, Darren served in the epicenter of national political reporting and commentary, The Washington Post, where he led searches for all executive-level positions and was responsible for global talent acquisition in the areas of PR, HR, and Finance as well as digital advertising sales, technology, marketing, and analytics.
Education
An alumnus of Georgetown University, Darren holds a master’s degree in Human Resources Management with a Strategic Human Capital Management concentration and a Certificate in Organizational Development and Change Management. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
Hobbies and Interests
When Darren isn’t working, you’ll find him enjoying hiking, water sports, and island-hopping with his wife, Stacy, in their home in the USVI.
