Darcio is Managing Director for ZRG Brazil, one of the fastest-growing global executive search, selection, and leadership consulting companies. Darcio is based in the São Paulo office and focuses on the Industrial, Energy, Agriculture, and Logistics sectors as well as general CEO and board positions.
Prior to joining ZRG Brazil, Darcio was a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles between June 1998 and January 2020, participating in and leading the construction of the company and its brand in Brazil. He was also a Director responsible for the company’s operations in the Southern Cone, leader of the Industry and Energy Practice for Latin America, and a member of the Global Professional Services Practice.
Between 1984 and 1998, Darcio was a Consultant and Executive at Arthur D. Little (ADL) Inc, a global management consulting company, serving as Director Brazil and Latin America. He was subsequently the global leader of the Strategy Practice. While at ADL, he directed projects focused on business strategy, organization, corporate finance, and restructuring and operational efficiency.
In the early years of his career, Darcio held managerial positions at a petrochemical company, an investment bank, and a large retail company.

Darcio has a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Escola Politécnica da USP (Poli-USP), a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from Fundação Getúlio Vargas, and a master’s degree in Engineering Economy from Stanford University, USA. He completed several courses in Brazil and abroad related to his professional activity, including one specific to corporate governance.
