Barry Wahlberg is a Senior Advisor in the Technology Practice at ZRG. Barry brings more than a decade of experience in executive search, sales, and marketing to ZRG. He has conducted searches in all aspects of the technology marketplace with a variety of companies ranging from early-stage to Fortune 500, and with a particular focus on private equity clients with both domestic and global reach. Within these organizations, he has successfully placed senior executive positions in a broad range of functions, including Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Technology Officer, President, Chief Product Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. Barry has established a reputation as a trusted advisor for human capital solutions.
Prior to ZRG, Barry was a Partner at True Search, where he led C-suite searches typically in go-to-market function for high-growth software companies. Before joining True Search, Barry was a Principal at Korn Ferry, primarily focused on senior roles for sales, marketing, engineering, product management, and product development.
Barry’s primary functional specialty is go-to-market, including President, Chief Operating Officer, Chief Revenue Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, Chief Sales Officer, and Chief Executive Officer. He has worked with different organizational structures and stages including private equity, growth equity, public, and late-stage venture.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from Harvard University.
Barry currently lives in Reston, Virginia, with his wife, Sarah, and daughter, Madison. While a busy parent, Barry enjoys playing golf, fishing, and attending any sporting event or music concert. He grew up enduring decades of disappointment as an avid Minnesota Vikings fan.
