Chief Business Officer, LOVB Houston

Houston, TX

President, Houston Texans

Background:

LOVB Houston is the newest member of the LOVB professional volleyball league, bringing professional volleyball to the City of Houston and its surrounding communities. Acquired in the Fall of 2025, the franchise is owned in partnership by the Houston Texans and Lone Star Sports & Entertainment (LSSE), a third-party event marketing company and affiliate of the Houston Texans.  Spearheaded by Texans Chair and CEO Cal McNair and Vice President of the Houston Texans Foundation Hannah McNair, this venture reflects a bold investment in the future of both youth and women’s sports, ultimately extending the Texans’ legacy of community impact and athletic excellence.

LOVB Houston is now part of a rapidly growing league, which has redefined youth and professional volleyball nationwide. Founded in 2020, LOVB is the largest youth volleyball community in the United States and has quickly grown its professional league. Entering its second season in January 2026, the league features teams in Atlanta, Austin, Houston, Madison, Nebraska, Salt Lake City, with Los Angeles joining in 2027. LOVB’s dynamic growth showcases the power of uniting championship-caliber athletes, elite coaches, and world-class staff. Backed by leading investors across sports, entertainment, and business, LOVB is guided by a deliberate, community-first growth model that unites youth, collegiate, and professional athletes while building lifelong fandom.

LOVB's interconnected ecosystem integrates seamlessly within Houston’s volleyball community through the nationally ranked Skyline Junior Club and its 1,300 athletes citywide, alongside LOVB Houston. Built on the foundation of the Skyline Junior Club, LOVB Houston forms a powerful developmental pipeline that elevates local talent, engages fans, and drives the sport’s continued growth. By connecting local communities to the professional stage, LOVB Houston is creating a pathway for young athletes to dream big, compete at the highest level, and become the next generation of superstars.

The vision of LOVB aligns seamlessly with the Houston Texans’ mission to operate a premier sports franchise committed to winning, creating memorable experiences, and making a positive impact in Houston. Since their inception in 2002, the Texans have cultivated a competitive team with multiple playoff appearances, seven AFC South division championships, and a steadfast commitment to leadership, excellence, and community engagement. Through their “Texans Vision” of being champions in every way, the organization emphasizes both on-field success and off-field impact, reflecting a philosophy that mirrors LOVB’s community-driven approach.

This partnership is further supported by Houston's vibrancy, which makes it an ideal home for this ambitious venture. As the largest city in Texas and the fourth largest in the United States, it is a vibrant, diverse, and rapidly growing hub known for its dynamic economy, rich cultural heritage, and strong communities. Powered by Fortune 500 companies in energy, healthcare, aerospace, and manufacturing, the city offers a wide range of professional and commercial opportunities. Houston boasts a thriving arts scene, world-class dining, and abundant recreational options. Its innovative spirit, commitment to sustainability, and focus on community development create an environment where employees can grow, thrive, and make an impact. The city is also home to a vibrant professional sports scene, including the NFL’s Texans, the NBA’s Rockets, MLB’s Astros, MLS’s Dynamo, and NWSL’s Dash.

Fueled by Houston’s energy, talent, and love for sports, LOVB Houston is perfectly positioned to amplify the next chapter of professional volleyball and the continued growth of sports and entertainment in the region.
