Following the UC3 tender process, Relevent Football Partners was awarded the commercial rights to the UEFA men’s club competitions (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League) on a global basis for the 2027 to 2033 cycle.
As such, Relevent Football Partners is now seeking to build a truly world class business focused on the monetisation of these commercial rights.
Role Overview
Relevent Football Partners’ Commercial Affairs Executive is a core role in the media team, reporting to the Head of Commercial Affairs. The role will provide support in the execution of global media rights strategies and tender processes for the UEFA Men’s Club Competitions. The Commercial Affairs Executive will assist with ensuring industry-leading standards for all sales processes are met across every territory worldwide, and will play a key role in the daily operations that underpin media rights sales.
Working closely with UC3 and Relevent Football Partners’ media sales, strategy and legal teams, the Commercial Affairs Executive will coordinate essential activities that support market analysis, packaging, tender documentation, and the management of commercial changes to media rights deals throughout the term. This role will provide the opportunity to gain exposure to the global sports media landscape and contribute to the commercial success of one of the most prestigious properties in sport.
The Commercial Affairs Executive will be based in Relevant Football Partners’ London office.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsibility for supporting the global tender processes for the UEFA Men’s Club Competitions.
- Delivering key materials for the media rights sales process, including tender documentation and media rights deal reporting, ensuring coordination across internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Establishing a strong daily working relationship with UC3, supporting on complex commercial issues and opportunities within tight timescales.
- Collaborating with UC3 and Relevant Football Partners’ sales and legal teams to assess financial viability as part of internal diligence processes.
- Managing commercial changes to existing media deals throughout the cycle.
- Participation in cross-functional working groups, gaining exposure to the broader business and contributing to process improvements.
- Supporting the Head of Commercial Affairs and the Commercial Affairs Senior Manager in building a high-performing team culture, contributing to best-in-class execution and strategic goals.
Required Experience & Skills
- Experience in a commercial, media, legal, financial or consulting role is required.
- A strong academic background in a related field.
- An interest in sports, media rights, and commercial strategy, with a demonstrable knowledge of global sports media trends.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail and comfortable working with data, documents, and process-oriented workstreams.
- Analytical and numerate.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
