Southeast Region

After over a century managing projects across the country from their corporate headquarters in Columbus, Ohio, Elford began to realize that they could serve current and future clients better from a regional hub in the Southeast. With the construction industry thriving throughout the region, there were many options to consider. After extensive analysis, they determined that Charlotte, North Carolina fit all the criteria necessary to build and grow a vibrant extension of their culture. In 2019, Elford’s Southeast Regional office officially opened. Elford’s SER team is a blend of Columbus transfers and local professionals working together to make construction a positive experience one project at a time.

The Elford team takes great pride in their longstanding tradition of working with and bettering the communities in which they live and work. Since the opening of their Southeast Regional office, Elford has become an active participant in several public and private education institutions. History

In 1910, Edward “Pop” Elford, a civil engineer, decided that the best way to promote integrity in the construction industry was to start his own company. With $153.75 in savings, he founded E. Elford General Contractors.

Trustworthiness, open communication, and continual learning were the values upon which Elford was built and remain their guiding principles today. Over a century later, Pop’s values still form and guide the core of their philosophy.

Their dedication to quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction has earned them long-standing relationships and recognition as a trusted name in the construction industry.
