PositionSummary
Inthis role you will be one of the most important faces of AXS to thesports industry; responsiblefor drivingthe growth of the AXS sports client portfolio. Identifying,evaluating, and negotiating new business development and marketinggrowth opportunities across NorthAmerican sports teams, entities, and rights holders.Identifyand negotiate strategic partnerships, including financialarrangements, optimal revenue models,sponsorship assetsand intellectual property rights.
Essential Functions
- Maintain deep and comprehensive relationships with C-suite sports executives across all leagues and professional levels.
- Proactively identify and evaluate new business development and marketing growth opportunities.
- Build financial models to provide clarity and advocacy against market opportunities.
- Lead negotiation efforts with potential partners, driving deals to closure while ensuring favorable terms for AXS.
- Craft a compelling vision for company position in the marketplace, identifying opportunities for growth and expansion into new markets.
- Lead efforts to drive growth and profitability by developing and implementing strategic initiatives that align with business objectives.
- Develop strategies to differentiate AXS from its competition, ensuring that value proposition resonates with target markets and potential clients.
- Partner closely with the North American P&L leaders to align business development efforts with overall organizational goals and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, customer analysis, and competitive assessments to inform strategic decision-making and prioritize growth initiatives.
- Contributes to the design and implementation of processes and initiatives to optimize business growth and brand marketing effectiveness.
- May manage one or more employees directly or indirectly.
- Present to the Executive team and C-suite from time to time.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- BA/BS Degree (Business Administration, Marketing, or related field)
- 10+ years of experience in Business Development and ticketing or live entertainment
- 3+ years of leadership and coaching
- Strong experience in a Business Development leadership position required
- Proficient in building excel models and creating quantitative analysis to help filter opportunities
- Expertise in identifying opportunities, developing strategies, and negotiating creative solutions
- Proficient in strategic analysis to drive growth initiatives
- Adept at business intelligence
- Adept at collaboration and teamwork
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and cultivate relationships
- Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills
- Mastery of growth mindset (agility and developing yourself and others) skills
- Possesses extensive understanding of the business development, ticketing, and live event industry
- Superior relationship building and negotiation skills
- Passion for live entertainment
- Significant travel required
Salary
$250,000base salary (plus bonus)
