At the centre of ACG Sport's vision is the Indian Basketball League (IBL) - India’s first professional basketball league.  Launching in 2026, The IBL aims to establish basketball as a leading sport in India, create pathways for domestic and international success, and position the country as a global destination for the game. Through elite competition, grassroots development, and vibrant fan engagement, the IBL will build a sustainable ecosystem for basketball, supported by men’s and women’s leagues, international partnerships, and a strong focus on athlete empowerment.

 

Job Objective

The Head of Stadium Production will be responsible for designing and delivering the full in-arena experience of the Indian Basketball League. This role will bring basketball’s high-energy, youth-driven culture to life through innovative in-stadium entertainment, ensuring every fan leaves with a world-class experience comparable to the NBA or other leading global sports leagues.

The Head of Stadium Production will oversee all aspects of live event presentation – from pre-game build-up to halftime shows and post-game celebrations – blending sport, music, technology, and culture to make IBL gamedays the most exciting live sports entertainment product in India.

 

Primary Responsibilities

1. Event Presentation & Show Calling

  • Lead the design, scripting, and execution of all in-arena entertainment elements.
  • Manage run-of-show for each gameday, coordinating closely with broadcast, operations, and basketball staff.
  • Ensure consistency of look, feel, and pacing across all venues.

2. Fan Experience & Innovation

  • Introduce world-class entertainment elements inspired by the NBA and global leagues, customised for Indian fans.
  • Oversee music, lighting, video boards, mascots, cheer teams, and in-game contests.
  • Incorporate interactive technology, fan engagement apps, and live social media integrations.

3. Sponsor & Commercial Integration

  • Deliver sponsor activations and partner integrations seamlessly within the gameday experience.
  • Collaborate with commercial and broadcast teams to maximise partner visibility and impact.
  • Ensure activations enhance rather than detract from the fan experience.

4. Production & Vendor Management

  • Oversee technical delivery including lighting, sound, graphics, and special effects.
  • Manage external vendors, creative agencies, and local production crews.
  • Ensure all gameday elements are delivered on time, on budget, and to world-class standards.

5. Team Leadership & Culture

  • Recruit and lead a dynamic event presentation team including hosts, DJs, and support staff.
  • Build a culture of creativity, precision, and fan-first thinking.
  • Train and mentor staff to deliver consistently across multiple venues and events.
 

Key Relationships

Internal: COO, Head of Broadcast Production, Marketing, Commercial, and Basketball Operations teams.
External: Venue operators, production vendors, entertainment partners, sponsors, and local authorities.

 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Delivery of seamless, high-energy gameday shows that set new standards in Indian sports entertainment.
  • Fan satisfaction scores and repeat attendance metrics.
  • Successful delivery of all sponsor and partner activations within the live event.
  • Positive alignment of in-arena production with broadcast product and brand positioning.
  • Consistent quality of experience across all league venues.
 

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of live event production experience, ideally within major sports leagues or entertainment properties.
  • Direct experience producing in-arena or stadium shows, preferably with exposure to NBA, FIBA, or other global benchmarks.
  • Strong background in live show calling, AV production, and vendor management.
  • Proven ability to integrate sponsor activations within entertainment programming.
  • Experience delivering large-scale, high-energy events in a fast-paced environment.
