At the centre of ACG Sport's vision is the Indian Basketball League (IBL) - India’s first professional basketball league. Launching in 2026, The IBL aims to establish basketball as a leading sport in India, create pathways for domestic and international success, and position the country as a global destination for the game. Through elite competition, grassroots development, and vibrant fan engagement, the IBL will build a sustainable ecosystem for basketball, supported by men’s and women’s leagues, international partnerships, and a strong focus on athlete empowerment.
Role Overview
The Head of Broadcast Production will be responsible for creating and delivering the world-class broadcast product of the Indian Basketball League. This role will define the “look and feel” of the League’s live game broadcasts and related content, ensuring it rivals leading global sports properties such as the NBA.
The Head of Broadcast Production will oversee every aspect of broadcast delivery – from pre-production planning, creative direction, and live execution through to innovation in digital content and fan experience. This leader will ensure the IBL sets new benchmarks in India, bringing a production style and innovation that resonates with fans globally while positioning basketball as a premium entertainment product.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Broadcast Strategy & Vision
- Develop and implement the broadcast strategy to position the IBL at the forefront of sports entertainment in India.
- Define the creative vision and production values of live broadcasts, pre/post-game shows, and shoulder content.
- Ensure production reflects global best practice while delivering a distinctive IBL brand identity.
2. Live Game Production & Technical Delivery
- Lead the planning and execution of all live game broadcasts, ensuring flawless technical delivery across multiple platforms.
- Direct broadcast teams, including producers, directors, camera crews, and on-air talent.
- Manage relationships with external technical partners such as NEP, ESPN, Turner, or equivalent production houses.
3. Innovation & Fan Experience
- Introduce cutting-edge broadcast techniques, graphics, data integration, and storytelling to enhance the fan experience.
- Leverage new technologies such as augmented reality, interactive stats, and second-screen experiences.
- Position IBL broadcasts as youth-focused, dynamic, and globally competitive.
4. Content Development & Digital Integration
- Oversee the creation of additional content including highlights, behind-the-scenes, documentaries, and social-first video.
- Ensure seamless integration of broadcast and digital platforms to maximise reach and engagement.
- Collaborate with marketing and brand teams to ensure consistency of message and storytelling.
5. Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with broadcasters, sponsors, rights-holders, and government regulators.
- Deliver commercial obligations in partnership with the commercial team (e.g., sponsor integrations, broadcast rights agreements).
- Serve as the key executive contact point for all broadcast and production partners.
6. Team Leadership & Organisational Development
- Recruit, train, and lead a high-performing broadcast production team.
- Develop talent both on-screen and off-screen to establish IBL as a premium sports media platform.
- Build a culture of innovation, creativity, and operational excellence within the production team.
Key Relationships
Internal: COO, Consultant Director, senior management team, marketing and commercial teams.
External: Broadcasters, production partners (e.g., NEP, ESPN, Turner, CBS), sponsors, technical vendors, on-air talent.

- Successful delivery of all live game broadcasts at global production standards.
- Recognition of IBL broadcasts as industry-leading within India and competitive with international benchmarks.
- Integration of sponsor, commercial, and fan engagement elements into broadcasts without compromising quality.
- Growth in broadcast ratings, digital viewership, and fan engagement metrics.
- Development of a scalable and innovative broadcast model for future league growth.
Qualifications & Experience
- 12+ years of senior leadership experience in sports broadcast production, ideally with direct NBA or equivalent league exposure.
- Proven track record producing live sports at global standards for broadcasters such as ESPN, Turner, CBS, NEP, or equivalent.
- Expertise in live event production, broadcast operations, creative direction, and technical delivery.
- Strong experience integrating sponsor content and delivering commercial broadcast obligations.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate in broadcast storytelling, graphics, and technology.
- International experience strongly preferred; understanding of the Indian broadcast/OTT landscape advantageous.
