Background:

Position Summary:
The Senior Director of Partnership Development is a key leader in delivering partnership revenue, best practices, and people development. This individual has an exceptional track record in selling marquee sponsorships across categories and benefits platforms and is ready to bring energy and passion to the role. Ideal candidates should possess extensive partnership development experience at the Director (or above) level, should have a proven track record of exceeding sales targets and quotas, while possessing the necessary leadership skills to foster a team of partnership sellers.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Research, identify, and develop relationships with prospects/organizations within various vertical industries for team partnership opportunities; Implement development strategies to continually engage prospective partners and brands in Marlins portfolio business.

Develop sponsorship programs, conduct sales meetings, and presentations on a regular basis.

Negotiate and prepare pitch and contract terms with input from senior leadership, finance, legal, marketing, and other applicable internal departments to ensure a cohesive and reliable approach.

Oversee a group of junior sellers and other individuals contributing to partnership development as the team leader, setting the tone, applying agreed-to best practices, and teaching from experience.

Collaborate with internal teams and leaders to drive and execute partnership programs and campaigns.

Provide consistent reporting and communication of various sales related metrics including pipeline account status, revenue targets, and relevant sponsor interactions to build equity in the role.

Achieve sponsorship sales revenue goals as assigned and maximize the sale of fully integrated sponsorships in major categories.

Contribute to and achieve corporate and department management and/or administration objectives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required
-
Minimum 10 years of sales experience in corporate partnership sales preferably at a team or league property

Experience developing and selling fully integrated and solution-oriented partnership packages utilizing a variety of assets including (i.e. entitlement and naming rights, in-venue exposure, linear/digital/social media, etc.)

Experience in managing partnership sellers, and/or leading a partnership sales team is preferred

Experience developing engaging and impactful GTM plans and presentations, promotional campaigns and proposals.

Expertise in managing contract negotiations with brands and their agency partners

Ability to meet challenging sales objectives in a high profile, competitive marketplace- managing tight deadlines and multiple projects.
