Position Summary:
The Indianapolis Colts are looking for an experienced, innovative, and strategic Vice President of Creative, Content & Media to lead and elevate their content and fan engagement efforts. This role oversees a high-performing team across social, digital, audio, creative, game presentation, and original content production, and serves as the organization’s creative engine, shaping the voice, look, and feel of the Colts brand.
This position will collaborate across departments to build compelling stories, drive revenue through branded content, and create exceptional fan experiences across all touchpoints. The successful candidate will be a proven and creative leader with strong business acumen, a pulse for audience engagement, and deep experience in professional sports content and entertainment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day operations of the Content Department, which includes Social Media, Colts Productions, Graphic and Motion Graphics Design, Pre-Game Television Broadcasts, Game Presentation, Audio Initiatives (podcasts and radio), and Photography.
- Drive and maintain the Colts’ creative tone, visual identity, and storytelling across all platforms and campaigns.
- Ensure high-quality, efficient, and timely fulfillment of content & production requests across all departments, including Football Operations.
- Compile, analyze, and present social and digital analytics to key stakeholders, using insights to shape strategy and drive performance.
- Manage the department budget, partnering with Finance to maintain tracking, forecasting, and compliance.
- Develop and execute branded content concepts in partnership with Revenue and Partnerships teams to generate new business opportunities.
- Oversee Game Presentation and Video Board teams to deliver best-in-class live entertainment and integrate partner deliverables seamlessly.
- Serve as an active member of the Commercial Senior Leadership Team, representing content strategy and providing cross-functional updates.
- Collaborate with Football Ops and PR teams on content creation, approvals, and scheduling to support team access and storytelling.
- Consult with team broadcast partners for TV and radio programming, including talent evaluation, show development, promotional strategy, and creative integration.
- Lead the development and distribution of the Content Team calendar, ensuring clarity around coverage of tentpole events and key initiatives.
- Foster a high-performing, collaborative team culture focused on innovation, creativity, and excellence.
Qualifications, Skills and Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or similar experience required.
- 10+ years of experience in content strategy, creative leadership, or media roles within a professional sports environment.
- Prior experience managing multi-disciplinary creative or content teams and overseeing live sports game day presentation.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute integrated content strategies that align with business objectives and drive measurable impact.
- Strong understanding of commercial business functions (marketing, partnerships, fan experience, sales, finance, operations).
- Experience collaborating directly with athletes, coaches, and broadcast partners is preferred.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced environment.
- Uncompromised judgment, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
- Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management and creative software tools a plus.
- Must be able to work all Colts home games, select stadium events, and maintain a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
- Ability to travel occasionally for team events, league meetings, or partner activations.
