Following the UC3 tender process, Relevent Football Partners was awarded the commercial rights to the UEFA men’s club competitions (Champions League, Europa League and Conference League) on a global basis for the 2027 to 2033 cycle.

As such, Relevent Football Partners is now seeking to build a truly world class business focused on the monetisation of these commercial rights.  

Job Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced and driven Senior Sales Manager to join our dynamic commercial team within the fast-paced sports media industry. This role involves the development and execution of UC3 Media sales strategies to license media rights and secure commercial partnerships across broadcast, digital, and emerging platforms. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of the sports media landscape, excellent negotiation skills, and a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets. They will commercialise one of the most prestigious sports properties in the world, with a mandate to consistently outperform the market and strike industry defining deals, propelling the UEFA Men’s Club Competitions to greater heights.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute sales strategies for domestic and international distribution of sports rights (broadcast, digital, OTT, etc.)
  • Lead negotiations with broadcasters, OTT platforms, and digital partners to maximize commercial returns. 
  • Identify new revenue opportunities across traditional and emerging media platforms.
  • Contribute to sales planning by preparing market research, pitch materials, and presentations. 

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for key partners and media buyers.

Market Analysis & Strategy:

  • Monitor global sports media trends and competitor activity to inform sales approach and pricing models.
  • Provide market insights and input into rights packaging, pricing strategies, and sales forecasts.

Contracting & Legal Coordination:

  • Work closely with legal and rights management teams to ensure contracts are accurately negotiated and executed.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and deliverables.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with marketing, legal, and content teams to develop compelling rights presentations and sales collateral.
  • Support broader commercial objectives, including sponsorship integration and event promotion

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Sports Management, or a related field would be advantageous.
  • Strong experience in media sales, sports rights distribution, or related commercial roles.
  • Strong network within the sports media, broadcast, or OTT industry is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of supporting high-value deals.
  • Established relationships and a good network with broadcasters, content distributors, and digital platforms.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with a diverse group of stakeholders, including senior leadership and external partners.
  • Knowledge of the global media landscape, digital platforms, and emerging trends in media consumption.
  • Ability to travel extensively and globally.
