Client: Large Global Hospitality Company

The context

The client sought a global provider with seamless national and global outplacement services and a premium on high-touch coaching, as well as a robust reporting platform delivering timely, accurate, detailed information. ZRG was selected for these capabilities as well as our references, who verified that our services exceeded their expectations. The new client also noted that the ease of changing providers was a significant factor in their decision.

After about six months of minimal separation activity, the company was heavily impacted by COVID-19. After a decision to separate a large group of long-tenured individuals, they promptly called us, where we learned of the impact and the immediacy of the planning. Within 48 hours, all global communication processes and materials had been distributed. We met the company’s requirement for a single point of contact and our client services group quickly put the teams in place to receive lists of candidates.

Our approach

The organization partnered with ZRG to support individuals through their transition with a comprehensive program, including:

  • An assigned career coach for entire program length (never a call-in center)
  • Immediate personal contact to begin the program (response to candidate inquiry within 2-4 hours; outreach within one business day)
  • Guidance on all transition topics: job search techniques, interview preparation and practice, networking, managing change and stress, negotiating offers
  • Comprehensive career and personal assessments immediately available through proprietary technology learning portal followed by review with dedicated coach

Results

  • 1,217 individuals referred to ZRG for outplacement coaching to date
  • 55% of eligible individuals engaged in career transition services
  • 79% of eligible individuals engaged in executive transition services
  • United States exiting employees were supported in 35 states
  • Global exiting employees were supported in nine countries
