Client: large global technology company

The context

A global technology company faced a pressing need to strengthen its succession pipeline by accelerating the readiness of high-potential directors and senior directors for critical leadership roles.They partnered with ZRG Consulting Solutions to design a leadership development program that helped future leaders to expand their strategic thinking, operate at an enterprise level, and help advance a culture of innovation and cross-functional collaboration.

Our approach

After a thorough discovery process to understand the organization's needs and priorities, we designed and facilitated an experiential 6-month Leadership Development Program for 26 high-potential director and senior director leaders from across functions and global geographies. The program focused on Leading Self, Leading Others, and Leading the Business, with the intent of helping participants grow as authentic, intentional, strategic, enterprise leaders.

With a mix of in-person workshops and virtual learning sessions, the program provided:

  • A strong focus on self-knowledge through 360° feedback and two assessment instruments
  • One-on-one coaching sessions with a ZRG coach
  • Business case scenario project and presentation to C-suite
  • Peer networks
  • Internal client mentors
  • Extensive participant interaction with senior leaders during in-person sessions

Results

  • Participants rated the program high on all metrics, including an average score of 9.4/10 on Net Promoter Score (i.e., "likely to recommend this program").
  • Extremely positive and impactful qualitative feedback:
    • "I am not the same leader I was when I began the program. The experiences and the learnings have been highly applicable."
    • "It says a great deal about the organization that they invest this much in the program."
  • Program sponsors and organization leadership determined the program met the stated business objectives and delivered a significant impact. As a result, they have investedin putting a new cohort of 26 leaders through the program in 2025.
