Alan Walker is a Principal in ZRG’s Real Estate Practice and a seasoned real estate investor, operator, and executive with more than 25 years of experience advising organizations across the real estate ecosystem. He specializes in leadership, succession, and organizational strategy for investors, developers, owners, operators, lenders, occupiers, and corporate real estate organizations.

Before joining ZRG, Alan led and advised on more than $10 billion in real estate investments and transactions across institutional investors, private equity firms, development organizations, operating companies, and corporate occupiers. Throughout his career, he has held leadership roles with organizations including Goldman Sachs, Brown University’s Investment Office, Deutsche Bank, The John Buck Company, Swift Real Estate Partners, and Blackstone’s EQ Office, where he helped drive large-scale investment, acquisition, and portfolio transformation initiatives.

Alan brings deep expertise across institutional investing, acquisitions, asset management, portfolio management, capital raising, development, restructurings, and corporate real estate. His broad experience gives him a unique perspective on the leadership capabilities required to drive performance and value creation across complex organizations. He also serves on the Policy Advisory Board of the Fisher Center at UC Berkeley Haas, is Vice Chair of ULI’s UDMUC Platinum Council, and is a senior member of The Guardsmen, a Bay Area nonprofit.

Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Alan earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a BA in International Trade from Brown University.
