Daniel Radek, President of First Washington Realty, discusses the resilience of the necessity retail shopping center business, co-leadership, and culture.

Based in the Washington, D.C. area, First Washington Realty is a necessity retail owner and operator known for its neighborhood shopping centers located in densely populated communities across the country. Daniel talks about the resilience of the necessity retail space, which had a peak to trough pricing differential of only 4% during this past cycle and the company’s investment and operational philosophy alongside their partner, CalPERS.

Daniel was previously the Chief of Staff to the Founder, Chairman and CEO of J.E. Robert Companies, is a founder of Fresh Direct, an online manufacturing and distribution food company, and is active in his community, supporting several non-profits with his operational expertise.
