Matt Cadwallen began his career in search in 2015, focusing exclusively within the Life Sciences sector and with an emphasis on Research & Development roles. He has been passionate about the biomedical science field since childhood.

He brings a highly developed methodology to each search, by in-depth research about not only the client company, but also detailed research about the role functions to ensure client specifications will be on target and appealing to the candidate slate.

His best practice is to completely understand the client culture, and corporate organizational strategies to offer candidates a true understanding of the client.

He is a functional expert in R&D and has globally supported top 10 pharmaceutical companies as well as smaller, up-and-coming biotechs across: Early Discovery, Translational Medicine, and all phases of Clinical Development.

Matt has successfully completed executive search assignments for leadership roles, including Chief Scientific Officer and the offices of the CSO, as well as Vice President and Senior Director roles in Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Quality, Commercial, Sales, and Marketing.

Before joining ZRG, he was a Principal for Euromedica, a global Life Sciences search firm based in London. Earlier in his career, he was a Life Sciences Recruitment Consultant for a boutique firm in the UK focused on middle management roles in the pharma industry.

Matt is a graduate of Reading University. His major degree is in Biomedical Science, and he has a minor in Oncology Studies.
