Lisa McCann is a Managing Director for ZRG and works nationally with our most innovative customers at the intersection between high tech and biotech. Lisa specializes in placing diverse (by age, gender, and race) CEO, Board and Executive, candidates. She has always believed that companies with diverse executive teams and boards have a competitive advantage in hiring and are also more innovative and profitable.

Lisa brings more than 25 years of search experience to the team, having managed her own, independently held executive search firm as well as leading in-house, corporate recruiting functions for high tech companies. Lisa has extensive experience working with venture backed, private equity owned and public companies in Life Sciences, Biotech, Digital Health, and technology. Lisa has successfully executed 500+ executive level searches throughout her career and takes great pleasure in making the right match.

Lisa has a passion for start-ups and routinely assists VC-backed and entrepreneurial early and mid-stage companies to build their leadership teams, including companies financed by investors like 5am Ventures, 7Wire, 8VC, B Capital, BCBS Venture Partners, Canaan Partners, Casdin Capital, Codex Capital, Droia, Echo Health Ventures, Foresite Capital, Founders Fund, Google Ventures, HIG BioHealth Partners, Intel Capital, Invus, Menlo Ventures, Merck Global Health Ventures, Octopus Ventures, Orix Capital, Pontifax, RA Capital, Rustic Canyon Partners. Prior to joining ZRG, Lisa was the president of a boutique executive search firm placing VP and C Level executives in the US and Europe. She previously served as director of executive search for Sequent Computer Systems, which was acquired by IBM. At Sequent, Lisa was responsible for hiring all executive-level positions reporting to the president and CEO. Earlier in her career, Lisa managed a staffing team at DataGeneral, which was acquired by EMC.

She holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Long Island University.
