Based in ZRG’s San Francisco office, John K. Anderson, Managing Director, specializes in helping organizations elevate their Human Resources/People Operations function to drive company performance and culture. John is a results-driven leader with more than 25 years of human resources experience, both as a Chief People Officer and as an executive search consultant. He enjoys providing talent advisory services and working with C-level executives on their search needs.

Prior to ZRG, he was a Managing Director at Allegis Partners, an executive search firm which placed HR executives across a variety of industries globally. He previously served as Senior Vice President for hrQ, a professional services firm focused on HR search and consulting. John has deep expertise in venture-backed, emerging growth technology companies, having focused his earlier professional career within the technology sector, where he held executive leadership roles as Chief People Officer at One Kings Lane and Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Quidsi Inc. He has held additional leadership roles with Oracle, Memco Software, GetThere Inc., Siebel Systems, Trigo Technologies, and Fox Interactive Media.            

John has a BA in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz. He has also completed graduate courses in Human Resources, Ethnic Studies, and Organizational Psychology.

John lives in Marin County with his wife, two kids, and their dogs, Mika and Ginger. He enjoys traveling, hiking, mountain biking, and finding mid-century gems in antique marketplaces. Born and raised in Chicago, John and his family are avid Chicago sports fans.
