JD Baker joined ZRG in 2022 as Managing Director. Possessing nearly 15 years of retained senior executive search experience, JD focuses on identifying and recruiting talented leaders for global life science and healthcare companies to improve patients’ lives through disruptive, innovative science and technology.

JD’s clients range from private equity-owned growth stage investments to Fortune 100 multi-billion-dollar organizations. His candidates and partners trust his industry knowledge, honesty, and work ethic as they collaborate to reach successful outcomes.

JD started his executive search career at a large global firm prior to transitioning to a small boutique consulting organization, where he led the Healthcare Practice for nearly a decade. Before joining ZRG, JD worked for a leading corporate governance consulting firm specializing in executive succession planning and board service.

His areas of expertise are in Corporate Board recruiting, Life Sciences, Medical Devices, and recruiting for the C-suite.

He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Speech Communication from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

JD resides in the Chicagoland suburbs with his wife and two daughters. An avid golfer, JD spends his free time traveling and coaching his young daughters in their many activities.
