Darcio is Managing Director at ZRG Brazil, based in São Paulo, specializing in Industrial, Energy, Agribusiness, and Logistics sectors, as well as CEO and Board appointments. He is an active member of PoliAngels, serving as an angel investor and startup mentor, and is affiliated with the Brazilian Institute of Corporate Governance (IBGC).

Since becoming a Partner at ZRG Brazil in 2020, Darcio has led executive search and leadership advisory assignments across Manufacturing, Infrastructure, and Real Estate Development, focusing on Board Members, CEOs, and Executive Directors. He also leads the firm’s Board Services Practice, overseeing Board recruitment and evaluation projects.

Prior to ZRG, Darcio spent over 21 years as a Partner at Heidrick & Struggles, where he helped establish and strengthen the firm’s presence in Brazil. He served as Managing Director for the Southern Cone, led the Industrial and Energy Practice in Latin America, and was a member of the Global Professional Services Practice. During this period, he conducted numerous executive search assignments for CEO, C-suite, Board, and Advisory positions in leading national and multinational companies. He also led succession planning and executive assessment projects.

Darcio holds a Civil Engineering degree from Poli-USP, a postgraduate degree in Business Administration from FGV, and a Master’s in Economic Engineering from Stanford University. He has completed additional executive education programs in Brazil and abroad, including training in Corporate Governance.

He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian, and is a native Portuguese speaker.
