Abrue Hussain is a Principal in the Data & AI Sector at ZRG, advising clients on executive talent strategy across data, artificial intelligence, data science, high-performance computing, and advanced technology. She works with Fortune 500 companies, private equity firms, and high-growth technology organizations to place senior leaders across the global data and AI ecosystem, spanning AI platforms, large-scale data infrastructure, and emerging intelligent systems.
She has built her career at the intersection of executive search and advanced technology, advising on leadership hiring across data science, AI/ML, infrastructure, and emerging technology. She has led searches for senior leaders including Chief Data Officers, Heads of AI/ML, CTOs, Chief Product Officers, engineering executives, and AI research leaders across technology, financial services, media, and digital platforms.
Prior to ZRG, Abrue supported infrastructure and data center engineering hiring at AWS, scaling global compute capacity and accelerating development of multimodal foundation models and generative AI systems. She built teams across machine learning, distributed systems, and cloud infrastructure. At Amazon’s SDLAP Strategic Recruiting team, she led global talent strategy for Principal-level product, design, and engineering leaders and developed frameworks for executive engagement and assessment. Earlier, she was part of Netflix’s Studio Operations team, supporting global hiring across production technology, VFX, and content infrastructure.
She began her career at Heidrick & Struggles, specializing in data science, AI, and quantitative strategy searches. She later joined Korn Ferry, helping build its Data, AI, and advanced analytics capabilities and leading searches across machine learning, distributed systems, and capital markets technology.
Abrue holds a B.A. in Economics from Columbia University and is a NextGen Board Member and alumna of the TEAK Fellowship.
