Jan has more than 20 years' experience leading HR strategy for regional, national, and multi-national operations within the utilities industry, banking industry, and B2B consulting. The past 12 years has focused on executive coaching, organization change, and career consulting for businesses and non-profits, aligning with her passion for community service.

Coaching Philosophy

Known as “the consummate coach,” Jan works with leaders and professionals to see the potential in themselves and find fulfillment at all stages of their careers. Her clients see her as a navigator lighting the path; a thought partner introducing new ideas; a provocateur to re-examine goals and priorities; and a champion offering encouragement and celebrating successes.

Highlights from Professional Career

Before forming her HR consulting and coaching practice, Leadership Journeys LLC, Jan led people strategies serving on executive teams for a global IT function, Marketing Research, and e-learning businesses within Maritz, a multinational B2B company directed at improving corporate clients’ business performance. There she began cultivating her insights into senior leaders' mindsets and decision making and began coaching leaders and professionals.

Coaching is Jan’s passion. She leverages her many years of leadership and career coaching in her present role with ZRG Bravanti. By investing herself to understand the businesses from which clients come and the means through which clients can deliver value, she has helped many hundreds achieve breakthrough insights to harness their potential for successful business and career strategies.

Education Credentials

Jan is a Certified Leadership Coach, a member of the International Coaching Federation since 2020 and a former SCORE business consultant. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, minoring in Biology at Washington University in St. Louis. She earned her Master of Arts in Public Administration and Social Service Professions from Webster University.  

Jan has been engaged as speaker and workshop presenter by a number of organizations. Her book, Constellations for Leading Organization Change: Interviews and Shared Wisdom from 21st Century "Change Masters" is available on Amazon. It's based on interviews with C-suite leaders who share challenges and insights around organization transformation. Integrated within each interview are essential leadership concepts, pertinent research, and practical applications.
