ZRG Bolsters Global Life Science and Healthcare Practices with Managing Director Liam Silk

Rochelle Park, NJ, March 6, 2023 – ZRG, a global talent advisory firm with an impressive growth trajectory, welcomes Managing Director Liam Silk, a venture capital specialist with over 15 years of executive search experience. Notably, Liam contributed to the second-largest IPO in Biotech history. Based in San Francisco, he joins the firm’s Global Life Science and Healthcare practice groups.

Drawn to high science and innovation, Liam places himself at the intersection of academia and industry, offering a unique perspective to building high-performing R&D teams. Before joining ZRG, he was an early employee of cell and gene startup Sana Biotechnology, where he oversaw Executive Talent Acquisition and helped to grow the organization from an incubator with 10 employees to more than 500. Liam was instrumental in cultivating the company’s culture and establishing their three innovation sites in Seattle, Boston, and San Francisco.

Earlier, Liam led Executive Recruiting for Flagship Pioneering, where he assisted in the launch of six new companies from ideation to series B and even IPO. Outside of venture capital, Liam previously held recruiting positions at large pharma companies including Merck, Novartis, and Sandoz, where he built executive-level talent teams across the full product lifecycle within the US, Canada, and Europe. He began his search career as a consultant in the Life Science Practice of Korn Ferry International.
