Wai-Leong Chan

Wai Leong Chan brings nearly two decades of executive search and leadership experience to ZRG. He has placed C-suite and boardroom leaders throughout the Asia-Pacific region in the technology and industrial fields, working for both Western and Asian clients.
Prior to ZRG, Wai Leong worked in search at both Spencer Stuart and Eric Salmon & Partners. An experienced leader in industry himself, he has held VP and MD roles at SAP and Gateway. He has worked as management consultant in both Asia and the US, most recently at Booz Allen. He serves as a Board Member and Chair of the Nominations Committee for AWWA, whose mission is to empower the disadvantaged to maximise their potential to lead dignified and independent lives. He was previously a Board Director for Interplex Holdings, Ltd., one of the world’s largest precision engineering companies with global sales across 13 countries and over 13,500 employees.
He has extensive experience advising clients that are seeking to enter the Asia Pacific market or grow existing businesses. He has helped to identify and recruit both business leaders as well as functional heads. He has worked with clients involved with digital ecosystems and physical supply chains. Over the years, he has worked for clients involved in software, telecom services, tech equipment, fintech, semicon, and tech consulting & implementation.
Wai Leong resides in Singapore and holds an MBA, M.Eng., and BS(EE) from Cornell University.
