Raul Lamas is a Managing Director for ZRG and leads the firm’s San Diego-based CFO franchise. Not only is Raul an experienced search professional, but he is a former auditor and CFO, giving him a preferred vantage point and network for identifying top candidates.

Raul joined ZRG via the acquisition of the Toft Group, where he had served since 2013, bringing extensive experience recruiting C-level executives for early-stage and well-established companies. He previously served as a senior executive recruiter with Vistage International, a global CEO membership organization, where he evaluated and recruited seasoned chief executives, presidents, and entrepreneurs. He also was a recruiting director for a boutique search firm specializing in high-level finance and accounting professionals. Before following his calling in executive search, Raul was CFO at technology company RJR Horizons Inc. and worked in the audit practice of Ernst & Young.

He takes a customized approach to securing and on-boarding top talent. He’s adept at assessing organizational cultural fit through personality profiling, behavioral interviews, and leadership competency evaluations. With a wide professional network of executives across a variety of industries, Raul has successfully conducted and completed many high-profile searches throughout the medical device, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, and professional services industries.

Raul holds a B.A. in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University. He is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) and holds the Certified Internet Recruiter designation, the gold standard for Internet sourcing knowledge.
