Lori Hemmer brings 14 years of expertise in higher education administration and academic medicine. With extensive experience in executive searches for College and University Presidents, Chancellors, senior administrators, and leaders within Academic Medicine and Healthcare, she is particularly focused on navigating leadership transitions and driving organizational success following executive placements.

Before joining ZRG, Ms. Hemmer spent three years as a Senior Associate in executive search for higher education, where she specialized in placing top-tier leadership talent. Prior to her executive search career, she served as Chief of Staff to the Chancellor at Vanderbilt University, playing a key role in numerous senior leadership searches and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Chancellor’s office. She also served as a Senior Director in the Office of the Chief Scientific and Strategy Officer at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she led critical strategic C-suite initiatives that supported the institution’s success.

Ms. Hemmer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Vanderbilt University, with a minor in Managerial Studies. She resides in Nashville, TN, with her family.
