Chris Donkin is a Managing Director at ZRG and brings more than 20 years of executive search experience, having led more than 500 board and senior executive searches globally. He advises organizations operating at the intersection of established industrial markets and emerging technologies, helping them identify, attract, and develop leaders equipped to thrive in increasingly complex and rapidly changing environments.

Prior to joining ZRG, Chris built a distinguished career advising global organizations on leadership and talent strategy across industrial and technology-driven sectors.

Chris specializes in industrial manufacturing and engineering, with deep expertise in automotive and mobility, aerospace and defense, industrial technology, and engineering services. He is particularly recognized for his knowledge of the global automotive sector and was acknowledged by the Financial Times as one of the industry's leading headhunters. Beyond executive search, Chris is passionate about leadership development and the exchange of best practices between military and business leaders. In 2022, he founded the Next Generation Leadership Institute, bringing together defense, intelligence, and business leaders to advance leadership development and knowledge sharing. He is also a frequent speaker on leadership at industry conferences and executive education programs.

Based in ZRG's London office, Chris holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Leeds and enjoys contributing to conversations that shape the future of leadership.
