Michael Levy | CEO, Crow Holdings
Michael Levy, CEO of Crow Holdings, discusses the history of the Trammell Crow real estate businesses and how that legacy guides the business of Crow Holdings today.
This conversation with Michael was recorded on March 28th at the Crow Holdings headquarters office in Dallas at the Old Parkland Hospital campus. Michael’s perspective illuminates how the places from which our business has evolved are key to understanding where we’re at today and where we will evolve to tomorrow.
I was joined at this interview by my colleague in the real estate search practice at ZRG, Larry Krema, who prior to his search career was Chief Human Resources office at both Simon Properties in Indianapolis and for Sam Zell at Equity Office before it was sold to Blackstone. In working with Larry and in working with CHROs among our clients, it is clear that the people, culture and business platform is where authenticity, in other words, walking-the-talk, is uncovered. Our conversation with Michael emphasizes the importance of history and culture in guiding and differentiating their business going forward.
We have a deep library of conversations with alumni of the Trammell Crow Organization. Look in the archives for our conversations with Lucy Billingsley (Trammell Crow’s daughter and sister of Harlan), Ron Terwilliger, Ned Spieker, and Walt Rakovich.
