As the Lincoln Property Company celebrates its 60th anniversary, this conversation takes place at its new headquarters office in Dallas. Clay and David take us all the way back to the very inception of the business with Mack Pogue spinning out from the Crow Company, with Trammell’s backing. It began as a multifamily development company, largely on the same Crow partnership model, and went in parallel and then diverged. I’m particularly fascinated by how Clay and David are remaking that entrepreneurial partnership model, but now with a heavy dose of coordination and support at the national level.
