With more than a decade of experience in executive search, Riko Arends has garnered expertise in corporate searches, as well as, in transactional searches with international search clients. Riko’s background includes building and scaling the recruitment of talented search executives to build out both global and regional offices.
In addition to internal executive recruitment functions, Riko has conducted international assignments in executive search and interim search in Europe, the UK, and Asia, primarily in China and Singapore.
Riko has successfully completed executive search assignments for senior leadership roles in life sciences for C-Level roles and Board Directors, as well as leaders in Industrial Affairs, Research & Development, Medical Affairs, and Market Access.
Equipped with expert knowledge across a range of assignments, Riko helps businesses scale their workforce at pace through a dedicated approach and customized recruitment solutions and success planning.
Before ZRG, Riko was a Vice President for Euromedica, a global Life Sciences search firm, and was responsible for the global build-out of the company.
Earlier in his career, Riko worked as a Life Science practice leader in Asia, living in China and Singapore. Riko contributed to building The Adecco Group’s Asia presence and increasing their base of senior recruiters by 300%.
Prior to his time in Asia, Riko was responsible for commercial operations and the international expansion of SIRE Life Sciences, opening offices in Germany, Switzerland, France, and Austria.
Riko, an attorney, completed his JD and LLM degrees in Civil and Corporate Law from the University of Groningen. A Dutch national, Riko is fluent in English and Dutch.
