Tim Rotherham joins ZRG with more than 15 years’ experience working for boutique executive search firms and managing the Talent Acquisition function of a global institutional investor, sovereign wealth fund, and Big 4 Professional Services firm. Based in Dubai, Tim’s assignments have covered the entire Middle East region, with a particular focus on the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia. In addition, he has led cross-border search projects in the UK, Continental Europe, and North America.
Prior to joining ZRG, Tim was a Director and member of the Middle East HR Leadership team for PwC. As a member of the “People Committee,” he contributed to initiatives across Talent Management, Development, Reward, HR Operations, HR Technology, and Learning. Further, Tim managed a team of 40-plus across UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan. He also managed strategic projects including onboarding redesign, implementation of new technologies into HR (RPA and AI), and oversight of diversity and nationalization initiatives. Tim also led a project to build a pipeline of new Partner talent in strategically important areas, including Digital Transformation, Cybersecurity, Forensics, Defense, Healthcare, and Education.
Previously, Tim led recruitment for the Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Equity, and Hedge Funds businesses of one of the biggest sovereign wealth funds in the world.

Tim’s areas of expertise include Investment Management (senior PM and distribution professionals up to C-level), Asset Allocators (SwFs, pension funds, charities, endowments, and family offices), Real Estate (investment, asset management, acquisitions – buy and sell-side), Private Equity and Venture Capital (investment professionals and operating professionals within portfolio companies), Professional Services and Strategy (Partner-level recruiting for Audit, Consulting, M&A, and Tax, including all sub-verticals), and geographic focus (UK, Northern Europe, North America, and Middle East).
Tim received his BA in Law & Criminology, is an MBTI Certified Practitioner and a CIPD Level 5 in HR Management, and has a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
Hobbies and Interests
Tim enjoys playing golf, exploring the diversity of the Middle East and Levant countries, and learning about behavioral psychology. He is a PADI Open Water diver, having dived the Red Sea, the Gulf of Thailand, Andaman Sea, Indonesia, Oman, Maldives, and the Philippines.
