Steve joined ZRG Partners in 2017 to launch the firm in the UK. He has a breadth of experience spanning a wide range of sectors but more recently with a strong focus in Transportation, Consumer, Industrial, Professional Services, and Private Equity backed businesses.
There is a strong theme in Steve’s executive search career of supporting family-owned businesses, often over long periods of time, as they look to appoint non-family leadership at both an Executive and increasingly Non-Executive level. He relates well to the cultures and sensitivities that exist and can utilize the range and depth of his consulting experiences to work well with Family Businesses guiding them through the process from developing the right brief through to successful onboarding and beyond.
He has a passion for making sure his appointments deliver results and add value to his clients and will be challenging and expansive in determining the appropriate search strategy for a given brief. He has a strong reputation for high quality delivery underpinned by a straight forward and honest style with an extremely high work ethic.
Steve led Howgate Sable as Managing Partner/Owner for over 11 years before joining ZRG. He had previously ran his own search firm following a long career with a global recruitment group. During his early career he qualified as an Accountant working in manufacturing and technology businesses.

His searches include CEOs, COOs, CFOs, and Managing Directors as well as functional heads of Sales, Marketing, Technology, and Human Resources. He has also conducted a number of Board searches for both Chair and NED appointments.
