Sam McDonald
Managing Director
Sam McDonald is the Managing Director for ZRG’s Healthcare & Life Sciences practice, bringing a wealth of experience in executive search and technology solutions to his role. At ZRG Partners, Sam leverages his expertise to drive strategic initiatives and deliver exceptional outcomes for clients in the healthcare sector.
Before joining ZRG Partners, Sam served as the Senior Vice President of Technology Solutions at Coda Search, where he was instrumental in launching the Technology vertical and expanding into new markets. His prior roles include Managing Director at Focus Search Partners and National Director at Lucas Group, where he led Healthcare IT and Technology divisions. Sam’s career began at Vertek Solutions, where he advanced from Technical Recruiter to Partner and VP of Sales & Delivery.
Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Integrated Studies from Middle Tennessee State University.
Outside of work, Sam enjoys watching SEC football, playing golf, and following the Nashville Predators and Tennessee Titans. He is actively involved in his community, serving on the Board for Watermelon Ministries and the National Football Foundation's Middle Tennessee Chapter. Sam and his wife are proud parents of three daughters who are nationally competitive dancers.
