Professional Profile

Mina Ames joined ZRG as Managing Partner in September 2021 to lead the firm’s Global Financial Services Practice. Mina has extensive global executive search experience across Financial Services and has held several P&L executive positions in the industry. Having lived and worked in the UK, Asia Pacific, and Australia, she brings an international perspective and a capacity to calibrate talent across multiple geographies. Based across London/New York, she works closely with organisations that are being disrupted or are the disruptor (both incumbents and Fintech's) that need to transform their operating models, diversify their talent needs and adapt culture in a dynamic financial services landscape.

Previous Experience 

Before joining ZRG Partners, Mina was Managing Director at Russell Reynolds Associates, where she co-led the Global FinTech Practice and led Financial Services across Australia and New Zealand. Previously, she was at Egon Zehnder. 

Earlier in her career, Mina was Vice President, HSBC Global Key Accounts with MasterCard in Australia. Prior to that, she was Head of Partnerships, Credit Cards & Consumer Lending at Citibank and was instrumental in driving their partnership growth strategy. Earlier, Mina held marketing and business development roles with American Express Global Network Services based in the UK, Singapore, and Australia.

Mina has completed numerous global searches at the Chair, Non-executive Director, C-suite, and senior executive levels across all Financial Services verticals in addition to front-line and functional roles including technology, digital transformation, and data and analytics. As a member of ZRG’s Board & CEO Advisory Practice, she is a trusted advisor to CEOs and Chairs, working closely with these senior leaders to resolve complex people issues and leadership succession.


Mina holds a BA with joint honors in economics and geography from the University of Portsmouth, UK, and an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management in Australia. She currently serves on the board of Arrow Leadership, a Christian nonprofit organization. Previously, she served on the board of Springboard Enterprises, which helps women entrepreneurs secure early-stage investment funding.
